5325 Louie Lane, #10, Reno, NV 89511

This Ford Flex was brought to us by local company Nevada Quilt Stuff, it was parked for a while because of COVID and was invaded by mice. The owner noticed some “gifts” in their car and brought their vehicle to us from inspection.

Integrity Automotive’s mechanics initially went through and removed any bedding and other traces of mice. Once the engine and other infested areas are cleaned Integrity Automotive’s certified car repair specialist did a full inspection of the vehicle to ensure the critters did not do any damage to the vehicle.

Typical issues our mechanics find is wires that have been chewed or almost chewed through. This can cause all kinds of havoc on your cars electrical system and could be potentially dangerous if the weak wire breaks while driving.

If you notice any signs of life in your vehicle, schedule an appointment with Integrity Automotive’s certified mechanics so we can clean everything out properly and thoroughly inspect your vehicle so you can be safe back out on the road.

Integrity Automotive’s certified mechanics get multiple phone calls a day from customers concerned because the check engine light has turned on. Our car repair experts always go on a case by case basis, but in general the answer is, bring it over when you have a chance and our car experts will take a look.

BUT if your check engine light is blinking. STOP! Do not pass Go. Do not collect your $200. The blinking check engine light is your cars way of screaming merci, no more, help. As soon as you can safely pull over do so and call a tow truck. Tell the tow truck driver to tow your vehicle to Integrity Automotive. A phone call (775 351-2500) to Integrity Automotive at this point is greatly appreciated.

This 2011 Ford Taurus SHO is a perfect example of what to do. They listened to their Taurus and had it towed to Integrity Automotive.

After closer inspection by Integrity Automotive’s certified car care specialist they discovered this Ford Taurus was dumping raw fuel out of the exhaust. Potential side effects of this issue could include:

  • Trapping fuel on top of a piston
  • Hydro-locking a cylinder
  • Dilution of the oil which could cause wear inside the engine

and of course, the scariest of all there is the risk of managing to ignite the fuel at the exhaust opening!

Integrity Automotive’s certified car care specialists were able to find the bad pressure regulator and the jammed fuel injector. With Integrity’s car care specialists this Ford was able to get back on the road quickly.

If your car has a check engine light blinking (or any light is blinking or in newer cars an exclamation mark) PLEASE for the safety of you and your family, pull over and call for a tow. Besides the fact by continuing to drive you could further damage your vehicle, there is a safety issue at stack at this point. Remember to always drive safe!

This is the cylinder head of a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 Hemi. As you can see in the video the valve seats inside the cylinder heads like to break loose. This is bad! They can bounce around causing additional damage.

Integrity Automotive’s certified mechanics will be replacing the original Dodge cylinder head with this new updated model that has a tighter fit to hopefully eliminate this problem in the future.

If you have a Dodge or Chrysler Hemi that is making some strange sounds or is misfiring this could be the issue. Ignoring it will NOT make it go away! Call Integrity Automotive for an inspection today!

This 2006 GMC Yukon is back for its 500-mile checkup. The owner had Integrity Automotive’s certified car care specialists replace the engine and is now bringing it back for our mechanics to drain the initial oil (can sometimes find particulates in the oil from the initial break-in of the engine that could cause issues later) and inspect for any secondary issues.

Since the Yukon was already here the owner took the advice of Integrity Automotive’s car care specialists to be proactive and have a winter inspection done as well.

This is the perfect time of year to have your everyday commuter and/or family car brought in for a winter inspection.

Integrity Automotive’s car care technicians will check the tires, brakes and most importantly fluid levels and temperature ranges for all fluids. Nothing is worse than getting in your car on a cold morning, and it doesn’t work. Now you are out a car to get to work and in for a big bill to get it fixed. Save yourself the time and money by having your car into Integrity Automotive for a winter inspection today!
